Hidden in Plain Sight...Human Trafficking and Stalking

Join Student Wellness and The Counseling Center for Hidden in Plain Sight – Human Trafficking, an eye-opening event designed to raise awareness and empower students with knowledge. We will begin with an educational tabling session featuring resources, real-world indicators to watch for, and ways you can safely take action.

Following tabling, we will hear from Sergeant Mike McClure of the Springfield Highway Patrol, who will provide insight into the Human Trafficking reality in Missouri, explain subtle warning signs often overlooked in daily life, and share practical safety tips—including how to report concerns safely. Students will walk away with tools to stay informed, stay safe, and support their community.
