Magers Health and Wellness Center is the medical home for the Missouri State community.

Our medical and professional staff are dedicated to providing quality health and preventive care at minimum cost.

Magers Health Center and Pharmacy will be closed Monday, May 29. 

CDC Updated COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendations (4/19/23):

  • Individuals ages 6 years and older who have already received a bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna) do not need to take any action unless they are 65 years or older or immunocompromised.
  • Allows an additional bivalent vaccine dose for adults ages 65 years and older. (At least 4 months after last bivalent vaccine.)
  • Allows an additional bivalent vaccine dose for people who are immunocompromised. (At least 2 months after last bivalent vaccine.)
  • Everyone ages 6 years and older receive a bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer, Moderna) regardless of whether they previously completed their primary series.
  • Monovalent (original) mRNA COVID-19 vaccines will no longer be recommended for use in the United States.
  • Magers Health will be providing Pfizer bivalent vaccinations for those 12 years and older. Appointments are available on Wednesdays and Fridays, schedule here
  • Alternatives to mRNA COVID-19 vaccines remain available for people who cannot or will not receive a mRNA vaccine. These will not be available at Magers Health and Wellness Center.

Update Effective: 10/24/22
Covid & Flu (Influenza) Care:

  • Magers laboratory now offers one test that checks for both Covid and Flu with same day results (this test requires an order from a doctor).
  • All laboratory Covid and Flu testing will incur a charge. Magers, as a courtesy, will file these charges with most insurances. Check with your insurance company to see what they cover. 
  • If you are having Covid or Flu like symptoms call Magers Health, 417-836-4000, to make an appointment during business hours.
  • If you want a quick test for Covid because you may have been exposed, consider going to Magers Health Pharmacy and request a Free Covid – self rapid antigen test. 
  • If you are needing a laboratory documented Covid test for return to work, travel, etc.. call Magers Health to make an appointment during business hours.

Magers Health and Wellness Clinic:  

Office Visits:
  • Please call the clinic to schedule your appointment (417-836-4000). 
  • Masks are required in areas as marked
    • Please wear a mask if:
      • You are positive for Covid or Flu
      • You are experiencing Covid or Flu like symptoms. 
  • If you don't have a mask, we will provide you one at our reception area. 
  • Thank you for respecting and protecting others. 
Telemedicine Services:

Occasionally, patients who need medical assistance but do not need to be seen in person, will have the option of using our telemedicine services, if indicated.

  • Telemedicine services will allow our Medical Staff to meet with patients and help them by telephone. We utilize your electronic medical record during the visit, so we have full access to your Magers medical records during the visit.
  • Our receptionist will help arrange a telemedicine visit if this is appropriate for you at this time.
  • Get started by completing the Telehealth Consent form.

Pharmacy:

The Pharmacy lobby is open. All prescriptions and over-the-counter (OTC) items are available in the lobby or through the pharmacy drive-thru.

Magers Health and Wellness Center is a medical home for the MSU community conveniently located on the Missouri State University campus next to the University bookstore.

Patients are seen in the Magers Health and Wellness Center by appointment. A limited number of openings are available for sudden illness or injury.

We offer a wide variety of medical services in our treatment facility.

Psychiatrist and Psychologists available for scheduled appointments.

Our pharmacists can fill prescriptions written by either Magers physicians or outside providers.

We offer a wide variety of wellness programs for employees and students.
