Mindfulness
According to Mindfulness practitioner, author, and teacher Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D, “Mindfulness practice means that we commit fully in each moment to be present; inviting ourselves to interface with this moment in full awareness, with the intention to embody as best we can an orientation of calmness, mindfulness, and equanimity right here and right now.”
Mindfulness in its basic form is simply intentionally being with the present moment and following your breath. It is a great tool for increased self-awareness and for staying calm and centered. Participants will learn and practice new mindfulness techniques and tools each week.
